Bob calls it a day

After fifteen years of unstinting and dedicated service Em. Kt. Bob Upton has decided to retire as Registrar of the King Edward VII Preceptory of Improvement.

I, like so many knights, have benefited from his wealth of experience and words of wisdom over the years and on behalf of all our members wish him well in his retirement, although I am sure that he is not quite ready to fade into the background just yet.

Having taken over from Bob, I hope to build on the good work already established in promoting Preceptories of Improvement in as many Provinces as possible. The Grand Master is very keen on this philosophy and I am pleased to say that this year a number of Marshals are looking to take their test as Instructing Preceptors, which, if successful can only bode well for the future and prove a great asset for the Provinces.

It should also be remembered that the King Edward VII Preceptory of Improvement is there for the instruction and benefit of all knights, whatever their station and particularly the newer members of the order.

I look forward to this new position and to seeing as many of you that can make it at our next meeting.

YITBOTO
Em. Kt. Dennis Fountain
